Andrea Bain is a multi-faceted on-air personality, journalist, author, and podcaster.  

Known for her authenticity and insightfulness, Bain joined the cast of THE SOCIAL during season 11 after being a regular guest host on the show and other Bell Media Studios programs, including CTV YOUR MORNING. Adding to her distinguished broadcasting career, Bain will serve as host for the upcoming season of BIG BROTHER CANADA, scheduled to begin production in Spring 2027 and air on CTV and Crave. 

Prior to THE SOCIAL, Bain was a host of the national lifestyle program, THE GOODS (CBC). She stepped away from the camera to create her own brand and launched the funny and candid Lionsgate Sound podcast Single Girl Problems, named after her first book published in 2018. Most recently, Bain was an anchor on CTV News Channel before leaving to join THE SOCIAL. 

Bain is a back-to-back Canadian Screen Award winner, taking home the award for Best Host, Lifestyle for her inaugural season on THE SOCIAL in 2024, followed by Best Host, Talk Show or Entertainment News in 2025 alongside her co-hosts. Her extensive hosting credits also include a number of popular lifestyle programs, including LIVE HERE BUY THIS (HGTV), SHOTGUN RENO (Slice), REVAMPED (Slice), and THREE TAKES (Slice).  

Bain’s career began in a Toronto newsroom, but she spent many years working red carpets as an entertainment reporter in L.A. for ReelzChannel and HLN’s SHOWBIZ TONIGHT where she interviewed Hollywood A-listers like Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie, Martin Scorsese, and Madonna.
