Speaker Alana Lees
Alana Lees has spent over two decades shaping strategies for some of the world’s most recognizable brands. Before co-founding BOOM InterTribal, she delivered breakthrough campaigns for Tim Hortons, Coca-Cola, Honda, LCBO, and Winners, drove global marketing initiatives for Suncor, and earned international recognition with her team as a Cannes Lions Film Finalist.
A proud member of Fisher River Cree Nation and daughter of a residential school survivor, Alana has paired her roots with over two decades of marketing expertise to pursue one mission: flipping the script on how marketers engage with Indigenous Peoples and the systems they operate within. She’s built a career around translating insight into action, proving that when strategy is rooted in truth, change becomes measurable.
Today at BOOM InterTribal, she’s the strategist behind work with TELUS, RBC, APTN, Deloitte, and TD, transforming reconciliation from a corporate buzzword into campaigns and experiences that actually move people, markets, and mindsets.
Straddling both Western and Indigenous worldviews, Alana challenges assumptions and builds forward-thinking strategies that shatter stereotypes and shift paradigms. She’s not just bridging the gap, she’s opening doors and laying the foundation for the next generation of Indigenous talent in advertising and marketing to soar higher.
